Certificates and ecological markings of papers used for the production of eco catalogs

Ecological papers are both 100% recycled papers and raw materials from the source of sustainable forest management. These types of materials allow us to provide solutions certified by reputable institutions. The most popular and economical of them are distinguished by the Ecolabel certificate awarded by the European Commission – known for its pro-ecological policy. In addition, raw materials with FSC and PEFC certificates are also widely available. The most prestigious of them can also be certified with one of the oldest ecological labels Blue Angel (Blauer Engel). The aforementioned ecological labels also indicate the method of producing paper for printing, which proves, among other things, the limited use of chemicals or a chlorine-free bleaching process.

Features of ecological paper

Although ecological papers are mainly associated with gray or brown, they have a full range of colors: from heavily bleached – snow-white, through natural shades of beige and cream, to a range of kraft papers. An interesting solution is also two-sided papers – kraft on one side, bleached on the other. The full range of their basis weights makes it possible to print both ecological catalogs on thinner raw materials and album variants on volumetric paper. Volumetric papers with an offset, uncoated finish are characterized by an exceptionally effective, pastel color reflection. This feature is particularly appreciated by producers of ecological products and publishers of designer magazines.
